The United Nations Human Rights Council conducts a Universal Periodic Review on the human rights situation of all member states of the United Nations. The HKSAR's report is submitted to the UN as part of China's report. Stipulated by the United Nations Human Rights Council, International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) reports are required to submit every five years.
